Had my 1st try last Sun, ordered Bindi Gosht for takeout. Very very satisfied! I was in India for a year and always love Indian food. Tried quite a few Indian restaurants in Germany, even the expensive one but none of them satisfied me. What I had in VAYRA is exactly what I had in India. Highly recommend!! View all feedback.

As an expat recently moved to Germany, I decided to get food from the best Indian restaurant in Moenchengladbach, recommended by family and friends when I told them I missed Indian food. I am sorry to say that the locals who have never been to India have no idea what good Indian food tastes like. The samosa was full of carrots, something the ingredients on their menu doesn 't even mention, only says potatoes and peas. The pieces of potatoes and peas which incidentally were in there were hard. Traditionally, the potato stuffing is a flavourful, almost crumbly mash. They tasted nothing like the real deal. My Chicken Vindaloo was a terrible disappointment. I had ordered it Indische sharf, but didnt expect it to be just sharf and have no flavourful sauce backing the chilli. (I have eaten Vindaloo in Goa, and this vindaloo had as much to do with the original dish as a Dragonfruit to an apple pie. The chicken pieces were fine but the potatoes were too big (bigger than chicken pieces! and not cooked through. My husband 's chicken tikka was full of oil and no flavour. I 'd be forgiven to think he 'd ordered a chilli chicken because the chicken was coated in flour and fried, by the looks of it, and not skewer roasted in a tandoor. I found the names of the dishes misleading as nothing of what I had expected actually turned up at my door. Both our dishes only turned up with one bhatura each which was surprising to me for the amount of money being charged. The online menu on Lieferando doesn 't mention the number of Bhaturas you get with each dish. If we hadn 't ordered a side dish of vegetable rice, one of us would have gone to bed on half a stomach of food. This review is a rant because of how big a let down it was. Most definitely not worth the money, which is €20 minimum for home delivery. Never ordering from here again and will tell that to anyone that who says s/he wants to. Its a scam in the name of Indian food.
