It is a very good dining area, with regional specialties, international dishes, carving (good and cheap), slaughtering of meals from own slaughter, wild specialties as well as crispy prepared goose or geese in the pre-Christmas season are offered here. Once again we had friends as guests with us, and of course we wanted to show them what is so beautiful to discover about culinary experiences in the Schwalm. the culinary diaspora, as a gastroguide colleague wrote once in one of his reviews. they need to know where to find something: . when we ran through the list of possibilities, I could hardly believe that our last visit in the gasthof was rockensüß more than 4 years back. but that can happen if they are rarely eaten in their own region, and then there is also such a good and great choice. to offer our friends something new, the choice of this hospitable and that was a good choice! from Schwalmstadt, whether it is treysa or ziegenhain, it is only about five minutes drive to alldorf, where the hospitable hotel is located. still lies the gasthof on the route between the northern end of the autobahn a49 and Schwalmstadt. but is currently being built and expanded, and the a49 will soon lead to the city of Schwalm and even more. I have no good feeling and hope that the gasthof is not dependent on the current transit traffic! would be a pity if they missed this sight: an entrance gasthof rockensüß with a look at the church that we had pre-ordered the table, as we had a special table in the eye and also the operation on Sunday is quite large. parking is too enjoyable directly at the house, but also without problems elsewhere in few steps distance. at 12:30 we have already occupied the last free parking space at the house and so it was clear: it was well visited! after a short friendly greeting we could take the table and look around a little. the lunch card, consisting of only 10 main dishes, was entered and the drink order was received. despite the only 10 dishes, all our desires were covered with it. included in the price was in any case a spatel creamsupe we were asked for. all four hunted and as I always like to see: we four chose all different dishes! but one was the same for all the soups of spasmus: we had a free choice on the salatbuffet, which was also in the middle of our dining room: salatbüffet looks all fresh and very tasty, with the top plate here on the photo was already very empty, but it was soon filled again and there they can see how different they are. here two compound salads from the buffet. the mine: salat from the firm of herrn schwalmwelli and that of my dearest: salat from the firm of the woman schwalmwelli now, the suppencreme had not waited long: a suppe sawn suppe not from the pocket! clear, then was season and, here nothing is left unused. delicious! in the most important means of life I think I am short now because I think the pictures speak for themselves. The restaurant has 3 modern furnished double rooms with separate shower, WC, TV and telephone. A room with original winding peasant furniture offers a special attraction. There is a hall of 35 to 150 people. So around cozy, very good and nice, nice staff, here the boss still serves...
Generally, very good food is served here with friendly service. The carvings of any kind are to be emphasized. Only the Pommes are not the best why I am here to forgive only 4 stars. By the way, it is also a good place to celebrate major festivals, like a confirmation. Overall, it is a highly recommended restaurant.
