Was Anonym at Hackett's a mag?
We look forward to our yearly trip to Schull,so, this is our visit and no visit is complete without our pilgrimage to Hacketts bar. The Guinness is amazing and the craic is the bedt. Barry, a huge thank you for having a poster of The Student Prince hanging in the back bar and then indulging me by playing my favourite song from the film. Great banter. Theres just no bar that comperes. See you next year. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Hackett's:
For years, I've enjoyed drinking at Hackett's, appreciating the music and excellent service. However, since the departure of previous managers like Pierre, Sean, and Max, along with good staff members such as Marcus, the bar has lost its warmth and sense of care. What once felt like a second home now feels quite different. The new bar manager comes across as cold and ill-suited for the role, and the staff appear poor... View all feedback.

Lovely old style bar with great live music on Sundays. Covered outdoor area at the back and cosy corners behind the bar area. Always a lovely fire in the winter months.
Great Guinness, nice bartenders and a very welcoming crowd. Had a great time here!
We absolutely loved Hackett’s! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Max, the bartender, was fantastic and even remembered our names the next night—a wonderful personal touch. Jo was incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for places to eat and drink in Cork. We also met some wonderful people on our first night who we’ll definitely keep in touch with. Thank you for making our visit to Schull so memorable.

I loved this cozy spot, especially its fascinating interior in the back area. Big thanks to Max, the bartender, for being so friendly and welcoming—especially after my terrible experience at the bar just across the street. (Hope I got your name right—you’re the very tall guy.) We met lots of locals in the back and had an amazing time! Definitely a place to visit. We’ll be back for sure.
It's hard to put into words the charm and intimate atmosphere of this delightful, cozy pub. Few places can compare, and certainly nothing like it exists in Dublin, where I now live after moving from Cape Town. The woman managing the bar was incredibly friendly and engaging, which only enhanced the unique appeal of the spot.
Fantastic little bar with a wonderful atmosphere. Enjoyed the live music session at 5 pm on Sunday evening, featuring Mick singing his original songs, brilliantly accompanied by Liam on the hollow violin. Absolutely superb. And of course, the Guinness was excellent!

Urgemülich and a great mural over the Tresen. Skull is worth a detour! You can tell me who this magnificent picture was created. My son himself is a well-known artist of Murals in Munich. Since I am great Ireland lover, certain went back to Hackett's bar.Every good continues. extermination
