It is the only restaurant on the piste quite some way by foot or skiing from the exit of gondola with its facilities.It is worthwhile to spend a little time taking in the surroundings as it sits on the edge of a precipice and sheer drop The food remains homemade simple and quality the pumpkin soup was the perfect antidote

But that wasn't the case at all and just the opposite : the... read more We went to the Refuge L'Espace for lunch, and we thought we would be served with awful tourist food. But that wasn't the case at all and just the opposite : the food was exceptional well served, with enough quantity, etc. The staff was also very nice. And the view was just breathtaking. We loved the place and after our walk through and on the Glacier, this is was just a great reward. We certainly advice a snack or lunch there.

It is decorated really nicely and has a terrace with some of the best views you'll find in a restaurant anywhere. We stopped for a drink and a piece of cake and really enjoyed taking in the views below.

In the summer one needs to walk 30-40 minutes from the Glacier 3000 cable car to reach Refuge l'Espace. In the winter a ski lift takes you very close.
