Contribute FeedbackGeneral On the hot, sunny day, we drove by bus to Hinterbrand with a change in Berchtesgaden to hike from there to the middle station of the Jenner mountain railway. The cable car is unfortunately out of operation this year, as both the valley and the middle and mountain station have become large construction sites for the new cable car in construction. After we passed the construction site at about 50 meters above the middle station, I came to the conclusion whether this will be done until spring 2018. I think more: Berlin airport, Elbphilharmonie or Stuttgart 21 greet. We then went on to get up to the Jenner summit. A signpost at the branch avated us that from there about 3 hours of ascent should be planned. For reasons of time, we rejected this project. With stay on the summit and then back to the point, after which 2 hours of descent to the Königssee, that was too much for us. So Plan B. First along the hillside, then strengthen in one of the pastures and recharge liquid before we went down to the 1400 meters of altitude to the Königssee. When we arrived at the lower part of Königssee, we took another rest in a café, in the next days in a separate retreat before we went on our way to our accommodation. Five minutes from the house, Alpenhotel Brunneck is located on a hill on a street fork. When you come from below, you can get familiar with the menu in a glass box on a wall before you go up on some steep steps. I sacrificed myself and managed the steps to reserve a table on the terrace for the evening, while the others went up the street to the accommodation. Upstairs, in front of the hotel restaurant there are parking spaces and you can walk straight into the restaurant. Also inside the restaurant and on the terrace there should be no problem for Gehandicapte. Entrance with parking service My reservation request for 6 pm was accepted by a young female service. Terrace goes, but no table explicitly selectable. Who comes first can choose one of the reserved tables that are still free So, terrace was sure, but whether we get a premium view table or not, was due to whether many or few guests came before us. So we hurryed, and arrived 10 minutes before the time. The friendly Maid from the afternoon led us to the terrace. Unfortunately, what I had feared, the tables with the premium view were all occupied. So there was only a choice at the house wall near the entrance or in the rear area without any beautiful views. We opted for a table on the house wall, right next to the entrance to the restaurant inn. There the service has not far to us, and we are not far to the salad buffet, which was included in the price at most dishes. Kindly as we are, we set our girls for the beautiful view with the back to the house wall and we gentlemen enjoyed the sight of our still good looking better halves. There were service workers, young females in the Dirndl and young males in cranial leathers. Everyone can breathe a great kindness and fun in their profession. All attributes, as good appetite desires, ask for drinks postponement, ask for the hospitality of the guest, clean empty plates quickly after all had finished eating at the table, respond quickly to the payment request, wishing a good after-home route were present. The fact that when empty plates were cleared it was more often on the terrace tiles, because a knife or a fork fell down or a dish wanted to be served at a wrong table. They were pretty busy, and there's something like that. I find 4 GG stars fair. After looking into the menu, the choice was easy, as when I was looking at the map in the showroom, I was thrilled for the seedlings with semmelknödel in cream sauce (11.90 €). And that was my order. Optically very nice in a deep white porcelain plate a wonderful semmelknödel with a small slice fried bacon on top. For the local patriots, the white blue flag was still in the dumpster as an additional eye-catcher. But what is the most beautiful eye-catcher? The food must taste. And that was so. The dumpling super-class in consistency and taste, which perfectly refines cream sauce with the seedlings in taste and seasoning with herbs. The mushrooms super bite, no crunchy, great piffer taste. The small animal from the leaf part also fits, not only as an optics embellishment, but also in the mouth. Since this dish belongs to my favorite dishes in the fungal season, I eat it more often in locals. Here in Brunneck I found this year's coronation of the same. Semmelknödel in Pfifferlingsrahm Convinced also the supplemental salad, which was put together on the buffet itself. At least ten to twelve salads made in bowls were available, with three different dressings. And what I like most about it, just a leaf salad. I put herb salad, cucumber salad, olives, noodle salad, tomato salad, Kidney beans in my bowl. Since all salads were made, I forgot dressing and rather took a spoon full of the different grains that were available. What else was on offer of fresh salads, I'm afraid I didn't remember. Sweetheart had a bear starving of the efforts of the day and decided to bake a pork-back steak with cheese (10.80 € , plus pommes and of course also the good salad, of course in a different composition as with me. Which cheese it was, is no longer present to both of us, as on the bone only pig-back steak stands. Fact is: delicate meat, strong cheese, fresh, well made pommes, an empty dish. This should be meaningful enough that it was very satisfied. Let's come to the brother-in-law next to me: it should be devotive, so peasant muzzle (11,90 € ordered. This was taken in a kind of pan. A white porcelain plate placed next to it. Unfortunately, the service did not make any institutions to put the peasant's muzzle on the plate. Excellent, authentic Bavarian cuisine with beautiful views of the Alps. Try the Bauernschmauss or Jager teller both of which are local dishes. Jager is...
