Had a really good experience. The staff were really friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious
We were there for a birthday celebration with 19 people, and the food was delicious and arrived promptly despite the large number of guests; we were thrilled.
We were there yesterday for the first time in a while and were surprised to find a new owner, but to get straight to the point, he was very nice and friendly. Regarding the food and service, it was very busy (it was the weekend and the Christmas party season). We were told beforehand that it might take longer due to a large group that had ordered before us, but we didn't notice any difference; it was still quick. The food was, as always, in a class of its own. I had a large rump steak with fried potatoes, and there's no competition in our city, neither in terms of taste nor price. The service was friendly and attentive as always, and they were always up for a laugh. All in all, a great evening. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars
The meat is too cold, so the butter doesn't spread on it, which isn't exactly what you'd expect. The potatoes could have used a bit more sour cream. The flavor and quantity were good. The service was friendly and attentive.
The four of us were seated in a sort of side alcove. The waitresses were friendly, the meat was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, though the fried potatoes could have used a bit more salt. So far, so good. The menus look exactly the same as they did 22 years ago and still have the feel of a roadside rest stop. After a few minutes, a larger group arrived in the area where we were sitting, as evidenced by their T-shirts—festivalgoers who were unfortunately very loud. Since two of us couldn 't stand the noise, we asked to move to another table, and there was one available. This was refused with the explanation that a regular customer who always sits there was coming. We were offered a table, but it would be by the door, and we would constantly be exposed to cold drafts. When we explained why we wanted to move, we were told, Yes, we know you 're loud, we 're sorry about that, but you 'll only get louder. I 'm sorry, but if groups like this are known, then the table we were sitting at shouldn 't be given to us.
