We headed out into the country following a windy, twisty road...past cow pastures to a farm along the Seeve River that doubled as a restaurant, the Horster Muhle. We enjoyed steak and green beans wrapped in bacon to the sound of moving water just outside the open window where you could see the working watermill churning away. Other, more adventurous guests were venturing out into the stream to take a dip on that warm night of June 28. It was certainly pastoral, and I don’t think there was another American tourist in the restaurant. Talk about off the beaten path!
