What Robert Norton doesn't like about The Princess Cafe Harbour:
First visit to Scarborough in 20+ years so looking forward to a great fish lunch. Service was ok, cleanliness ok, the food was hot and the fish very good, as were the mushy peas. The chips seem to have been cut from small poatoes and were a bit crunchy in places. Nevertheless, I give them 3 stars for the service. They offer gluten-free options and are extremely accommodating. The server even made her own dipping sauce to prevent cross-contamination with other dishes. I only ordered chips but they also have fish options available. View all feedback.

read moreIn Scarborough, this fish and chip restaurant offers gluten-free options, accommodating service, and dog-friendly atmosphere. Customers praised the crispy batter on the cod, selection of sauces, dedicated fryers for gluten-free dishes, and friendly staff. The pricing was seen as a tad high by some, but overall customers loved the food quality, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant was commended for going above and beyond, such as providing complimentary cake for an anniversary celebration. However, not all experiences were positive, as one dining party felt mistreated by staff. Despite this, the majority of reviews were positive, making it a recommended spot for visitors and locals alike.
