Sunrise Cafe Scarborough

We had hot dogs with fried tweepers and charging chips with cheese and speck. everything was delicious and fresh. coffee was nice and hot.

Extensive menu and eating was nice. a few ok ales available in bottles along with the standard cookery types on design. friendly and helpful staff, cash and card accepted. they have a roof terrace that looked nice but not in use on our visit, which I could not fully understand how ideal in the sun looked out and additional seating outside that would have been useful. it is worth eating a bite or drinking quickly in the sun.

Can't fault this place. Looked like a snack bar, but we had the most exquisite seafood chowder I mean seriously the best I've ever had in the UK: large prawns, cod and gnocchi with roasted lemon honestly fantastic. The fish sandwich was excellent too, crunchy hot battered cod in a soft white roll. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient I'd beat a path to the door and highly recommend, a genuinely pleasant surprise. And they take contactless card payments so I guess some of the reviews are out of date. We're from Dorset, on holiday, so will probably never get there again but if you're local, or visiting, this is one to seriously support. Well done!!

Went to order a bacon and tomato baguette .... to be told they can't do that ... as its not the rules lol I can have a bacon and tomato sandwich but not in a baguette So went to the teapot across the road and had a lovely bacon and tomato baguette Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
