What User doesn't like about Sea View Snacks/ Elaines Gift Shop:
No tables left so got 3 chairs and brought a table over, met with a lady who had a little whinge about where we placed it so we moved it over (health safety first) Had 2 burgers, hot dog chips which were nice...and we had just left and at the top of the stairs we saw the same woman moving the chairs and tables fair enough but then watched her gesticulating and very obviously talking about us. The portion of chips at this restaurant is very generous and the prices are slightly lower than at the Cobble Landing. It is usually easier to find a table here. I have visited three times already and will definitely be returning. The new owner is also very friendly.
A good cup of coffee but if you like your coffee stronger ask for an extra shot. I hear the homemade cakes are good. Great location.
We had a lovely morning in Filey on the last day of 2015, with clear, sunny skies and a brisk wind from the sea. As we strolled along the waterfront, we saw people enjoying the sunshine with drinks in hand. Intrigued, we decided to stop and join them. The owner greeted us warmly with a smile and I ordered two lattes, which were made perfectly. This charming little bar also serves hot food and an assortment of snacks, making it a great little spot to relax and indulge.
Lovely seaside cafe A warm welcome greeted us this morning in this clean and reasonably priced little gem. Will definitely return would recommend to all THANKYOU ladies
I would not hesitate to visit this little snack bar on Filey prom time and time again. The staff are really pleasant, they serve quickly and are happy to change orders to suit the customer. The food is freshly cooked to order so you are able to enjoy the views and your cuppa at the tables overlooking the bay until your food is ready. The food is basic but it is a snack bar and the bacon baps, burgers, chips and toasted tea cakes do not disappoint, the children loved the strawberry smoothies and the schmoo milkshakes (I must admit they were fantastic! First class views with a first class cuppa what more could you ask for?
