While some visitors rave about the excellent food quality, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere, others recount frustrating encounters marked by uncleanliness, rude staff, and items unavailable from the menu. Diners praised the flavorful meals and friendly service, particularly highlighting well-cooked steaks and burgers. However, complaints about long waits, inattentive staff, and unappetizing dishes also emerged. This range of reviews suggests that while some guests find the Crown Tavern delightful, others leave with reservations, making consistency a key area for improvement.
I think Crown Tavern has good menu, good beer and friendly staff. I have to agree with both comments, need sky sports like this, but profit me how I would...

We couldn't find a table inside, so we decided to sit outside. Unfortunately, there was vomit scattered on the floor and one of the tables, which multiple staff members noticed but no one took the initiative to clean it up. We would have liked to stay longer, but decided to leave promptly. Prices ranged from £1-£10 per person. The service was rated 3 out of 5 and the atmosphere was rated 5 out of 5.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, with friendly staff serving classic pub fare in a great atmosphere. A special mention goes to the impromptu Halloween disco, complete with disco lights and spooky party tunes, which saved the day when our original plans fell through. We showed up with two tired children just looking to warm up and enjoy a drink and snack, and the staff quickly jumped in to help calm down our 7-year-old's tantrum. The landlord and staff really saved Halloween for us!
