Really nice experience at Oo-Kinza. It?s definitely in the pricier side, however, the value you?re getting is incomparable! Huge portions and fresh fish. It?s a really small restaurant with only 10 seats, so you must make a reservation in advance! The owners were lovely and super attentive. I dropped my chopsticks twice (oops), they miraculously heard it and came with a new set right away! I?ll definitely be back for... View all feedback.
My first time here and I must say the decor absolutely reminds me of the Izakaya's and restaurants that I have been to in Japan...very bright, colorful and vibrant. The service was super friendly, very attentive and quick. Now let's get to the fish.....it was absolutely amazing!! The fish was sooo fresh and was served at the perfect temperature and the rice was excellently seasoned and together it was absolutely delicious!! Star of the show was the uni.....so yummy and creamy! Yes this place is very expensive but if you don't like quality then go somewhere else otherwise you must try this place out. This has to be one of my favorites in Toronto!! Enjoy.

I dropped my chopsticks twice (oops), they miraculously heard it and came with a new set right away! I?ll definitely be back for more dons in the future! The only thing I didn?t like was that they didn?t have a washroom in the restaurant. I was directed to McDonald?s next door?which is definitely unexpected for the price I?m paying?
Good quality is top tier, however, the price is definitely on the higher side. They have a huge selection of sashimi and don, you might spend a lot of time deciding what to get. We ordered a lobster don, haru bokksu box, and a uni tray. It was a bit too much for two people, it would have been perfect if we didn't order the uni. I would recommend ordering something to start with first and then see if you need more later. Environment wise, it is super tiny but the vibe is good. Service was fantastic, no complaints at all. You will likely need to make reservations in advance, we made ours by DM on Instagram, and it was super smooth as they replied promptly.
Edit: both my parents had stomach problems and/or diarrhea the night of/the next morning... the food was still good tho lol This is a cool new sashimi restaurant, located next to Pho 88. It's expensive but the quality and flavours of the sashimi are amazing. Everything was really fresh and the selection is way better than a cheaper sushi place. If you can get past the restaurant smelling like a fish market, then you'll definitely enjoy your time here. Their menu is also limited to raw fish (no rolls, cooked dishes, etc. but today's special had a couple of hot pot options (beef or seafood . This restaurant is probably not for children since they can't have raw fish. The interior is kind of kitschy but makes for some unique pictures; it almost feels like you're sitting at a roadside izakaya in Japan
So happy that they have expanded! Delicious fresh sushi and sashimi with different varieties. The decoration of the restaurant makes you feel like you are in Japan. Price is on the higher range but the quality of food is exceptional.
