We came here with friends who are now regulars, on NYE before going out. Since it was only 5 pm, we were the only diners, but the staff were preparing non-stop take-out orders for parties and everything looked amazing. We enjoyed seaweed salad and miso soup to start, and then we had a variety of plates. What User doesn't like about Ichiban Sushi House:
This tiny Japanese restaurant is tucked away in a strip plaza near Parkway Mall in Scarborough. There are only 7-8 tables and a sushi counter. My wife and I went for dinner on a Saturday. We started with a sashimi combo platter, which was okay, but our meals came before we finished it, which we did not like. Tasty Sushi. I used order medium size tray- always satisfying experience.
Prices is decent for its quality for the terriyaki. However the sushi and sashimi are pretty good.
Sushi salmon pizza was good, but the salmon paste wasnt firmly on the base so it often fell off. The crunch of the base the softness of the salmon was a good contrast there was a slight sweetness.
Not sure if this is a new location in the mall, I watched and waited for it to open going to work everyday. Old reviews' timeline didn't fit when this restaurant actually opened. I ordered Sushi, loved it. Buffet was fun to try some new foods. Soups, salads, desserts and my new favourite Shaved ice. Fan of Korean soaps, so it was a new experience. Can't wait for Covid-19 to Stop. Will celebrate there.
This is strictly mall food court quality, which if that is something you enjoy you will like the food. We ordered different dishes but each one came in a sauce the identical colour, consistency and taste and had the same vegetables in each of the different dishes. There are much better choices in the area.
