I love this restaurant for their authentic casserole rice! The topping amount is generous and the crispy rice at the bottom is just right. It also comes with a side of veggies and a choice of drink or soup. The service is average, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back again! View all feedback.
What Betty Holly doesn't like about Good Taste Casserole Rice Zhī Wèi Bāo Zǐ Fàn:
It was not an very impressive experience. After waited for my order for twelve something minutes, the rice in the middle of the claypot was still not fully cooked. It was still hard to eat. Only those rice on the outter side is soft enough to eat. The portion of the meat and rice was okay. The soup was good and not too greasy. View all feedback.
The food is fresh and delicious. The casserole rice is outstanding. The owner provides excellent service. Overall, great food and great people at this restaurant.
The expansion of Good Taste Casserole House from Markham to Scarborough has made it convenient for me to enjoy their comforting dishes. Their expanding menu keeps hunger at bay while waiting for your order, with options like the BBQ pork rice noodle roll for $4.70, which was a great appetizer to share. The dish was soft and silky, with generous slices of pork, although it wasn't evenly spread across the roll. I'm impressed with how Good Taste has managed to keep their prices low despite rising costs. Their preserved meat and chicken with rice for $11.99 is only a dollar more than it was five years ago, and the portion size is still generous. The dish comes with a side of boiled yu choy and a pot of soup with pork, fruit, and white fungus. The rice is perfectly cooked, with a fluffy texture and a crispy crust at the bottom. While I'm usually not a fan of greasy preserved meat, it worked well as a topping in this dish, preventing the rice from becoming soggy. The chicken, however, was over-marinated and had a springy texture that I didn't enjoy as much. Overall, Good Taste Casserole House continues to impress with their satisfying dishes and affordable prices.

Great value for clay pot rice, it also comes with a soup and veggies all for $12.99! It satisfied my craving but I wish there was more to it. The rice lacked flavour and I wanted more of that crispy crust which the rice didn?t really have. #1 preserved meats eel rice : 3.5/5 #39 spare ribs chicken feet rice: 3.5/5 Overall the value for what you get really gives them 4/5.
