I had breakfast here with five friends as this was the first day back to school teaching for our spouses and we like to celebrate their return to work...think of the song: It;s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! The menu is huge...great variety and so many options that it 's hard to decide on what to get. I opted for the 'Hot Dogs wrapped in Crepes '...it was outstanding...the hot dogs are wrapped in bacon and chee... View all feedback.
What travlynme doesn't like about Cora Breakfast & Lunch:
I like the Cora chain, but this one had really really bad service. We sat forever waiting for our order to be taken and the food took forever and some of it was cold and some of it was served on burning hot plates. Too bad, have not been back since. View all feedback.
They do have good breakfast ..generous portions, good coffee, the only thing I don’t like sometimes you have wait long line to get in.
Hostess seating us made it clear she 110% hates her job. Once seated, waiter was super friendly and accommodating. My wife's breakfast was really good, my thick bacon and eggs, three strips of under cooked fat, home fries not even cooked enough to put color in them let alone make crispy. Prices are out of line and food poor.
If you like bacon, then don't go to this restaurant. They use the pre made microwaveable bacon the really thin stuff similar to what you get out of the unrefrigerated boxes from the grocery store or from fast food chain like Tim's or McDonald's. I confronted them about it and they admitted it but said that they still heat it up on the grill. Absolutely disgusting....
We went on a Monday for lunch. It was not too busy and we were promptly seated. The daily specials were clearly posted when you entered. Although service was a little slow, it was well within standard practice for prep to serve food. My partner had the daily omelette special and I had the Goat cheese and fruit salad. Serving was generous for both dishes.
I normally go to the Coras in Markham but decided to give the one in Scarborough a try. Not only was the service terrible, the food tasted very old. We ordered one of the brunch burgers and the patty inside tasted like it was moulding. My boyfriend loves meat and he 's never tasted something this terrible before. I ordered the jo construction and the sever told me it was three eggs. But as you can see in the picture not only does it look like if anything two eggs she also walked into the kitchen and they were laughing as she brought the plate back. The only thing the manager said to us was as you can see we are a busy store and did nothing about our complaint as we did tell him that there was a weird taste in the patty and eggs. 10/10 would NOT RECOMMEND worst experience EVER.
