I've slacked from doing reviews but this one motivated me. Chris Jerk served me a meal I felt I could eat every day and be happy (and healthy). Having grown up with home cooked West Indian food I do feel qualified to say this. While I'm not a dietitian I do feel their food is healthy and delicious, a rare find in dining out. If you do not consider the fact that they shortchanged me TWICE to the tune of then the food is great and the value excellent. You get rice and peas, plantain, cole slaw and a pop for under Two can be fed from...this portion. But you must count your change before leaving the register. This is for the owner, The last time it happened was on October at Bill was I gave her She gave me back cents. Shameful View all feedback.
If you have never tried eating here and will be in the area, I really recommend it to you. Chris Jerk has a wide variety of items, from different styles of chicken to seafood and much more. The place is popular on weekends, so if you are planning to grab and Go, be prepared to wait 5 to 15 minutes. But it is worth it.When I went by this week, I ordered the Jerk Chicken Item. This comes with the chicken, rice, vegetables and I also received plantain chips on top.The chicken- it was well done. Meat was not dry at all and the meat retained flavor for every bite. The sauce was all over the chicken, so we the bones and such fasted great at the end. The portion size for the chicken was well over enough. The rice itself was good. What made it better was the sauce from the chicken and the rice mixing together. They give you a decent amount of rice, so it becomes a very filling dish.Lastly, the vegetables were good. The broccoli were huge and the letteuc was flavorful.Chris Jerk truly gives you the experience of the Carribean in Scarborough.

Having grown up with home cooked West Indian food I do feel qualified to say this. While I'm not a dietitian I do feel their food is healthy and delicious, a rare find in dining out. There was no abundance of salt, which usually plagues take away joints. I got the jerk chicken breast, because it was evening and they were out of the shwarama. It was perfectly moist and savoury. The veg requires special mention. There was an actual portion of it, and again, perfectly toothsome - unlike the typical tiny side of slaw served with Jamaican food. This meal made me happy, and Chris Jerk is my new benchmark in the category.
We were having a Jamaican soup craving late one night and stumbled upon this place on the Internet. We were lucky to get there just before closing but unfortunately no soup. We opted instead for the jerk chicken dinner. Man it was gud! We are so going back! Hopefully next time we get to try the soup. I highly recommend this spot!
Food here is just amazing. Ordered jerk pork and chicken (just meat). Pork was juicy and chicken was done right. This place is packed and with limited seats you might have to take it to go. Definitely the spot for Jamaican food in Scarborough.
I came here on a Saturday and it was busy. It's my second time. Ordered the Jerk Pork $11 and Jerk Chicken $8.95. The Jerk Chicken was delicious and very moist. It was dark meat. The Jerk Pork was pretty good but the jerk sauce seems thicker and it wasn't as spicy as the chicken. It was quite busy and the area to sit is small but many people go for take out. Previously I had the chicken shawarma and the chicken shawarma poutine. Delicious!
