What User doesn't like about Canton Kitchen:
canton kitchen is a classic place about the scarborough region for fast and easy cantonese foods. they can find their favorite food, noodles and dinners for cheap trips! the quality is solid considering that it is a food place in comparison to its restaurant competitors. there is always a line at the location of the chartwell mall (whether the order in person or call it), so be ready to wait a bit during the weekend,... I noticed a large crowd at this stall in the food court, leading me to believe it was the best option. However, I found it to be average after trying it. Reading reviews afterwards, it seems others had the same opinion - apparently the owner changed. The Cantonese fried noodles were decent, although not very crispy since it was takeout. The General Tao chicken tasted more like sweet and sour pork, so I would recommend opting for that instead.
This food court in a standard Chinese plaza offers a variety of delicious options. The food is served quickly and is fresh. The portions are generous and the quality is good for the price. It's a convenient option for a quick meal or takeout. There is a wide selection of dishes available from the different businesses, and you can also pick up groceries from Bestco in the same plaza. There is plenty of parking available, but you may need to circle the lot or be patient to find a spot.
This restaurant used to be good, but it seems like they have changed owners as the staff were completely different. I ordered a steamed fish and other dishes, but when the food was ready, the fish was not fully cooked and still raw. I returned the fish to have it re-cooked, but it still wasn't done properly. I decided to not accept it and asked for a refund, which the boss gave me. I don't plan on returning to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to anyone.
Ordered Fried rice noodles with beef take it has no tease at all and with only a few pieces of beef you see in the picture. This isn’t the fist time that take out has little to no meat. Order sweet and sour pork last time only to find there was only 3 pork. They have new staffs working, I believe they maybe have changed owner. It’s sad to see my favourite place to order fried rice noodle with order has gone this bad. The cashier lady is also rude and gives you dirty look if you take/ask them for hot sauce. Especially when you have to fill the hot sauce your self and they expect you to bag it yourself when your done filling the hot sauce cup.
Ordered the sweet and sour pork for Mother’s Day dinner. Wanted their sauce separate and they charged us an additional 20 cents for the container. No other places do. Paid $12 to get this amount of food, which was VERY embarrassing bringing to a dinner table. The sauce was also MEH. Didn’t even taste great. Don’t recommend.
