Black Ox Bistro - Scarborough

We came here with a recommendation of a friend, it is Halal. It is a typical bistro food nothing special but the decor are nice. The service was slow for lunch time and it was not busy at all.

Perfect anniversary celebration dinner. Excellent Service and food (steaks) was delectable. They ran out on dessert choice, nonetheless what was available was scrumptious!

Food is yummy, service is excellent, not hard to find, first time visit, thanks for the good eating experience.

My boyfiend and I were in the mood for a steak and didnt want to wait in any lines. Google gave this place great reviews. At first we werr skeptical since there were no alcoholic drinks on the drink menu.Fast forward to our starter!! Crab cakes made with actual crab. There was barely any "filler" bread crumbs. That got us to order dinner. Beef Wellington for myself and a Chefs Cut steak for him. The only negative was the price tag on these items, its pretty steep which was a drawback.

Went there last night with my husband and I'd say it was a pretty good restaurant. After reading the negative reviews I was a little reluctant but thought of giving it a try because it was the only halal steak house near our place. The service was really good, staff was attentive and helpful. Starters and main courses were also really good. Serving was great. I couldn't finish my main course after starters. Quantity and quality both were good.
