Al Mac's - Scarborough

The food at this restaurant is terrible and the staff seem to be very high.

I went to this place a few days ago on the first really nice day this spring. Weather was good and so I stopped and ordered a beer and went out to sit on the table outside. I was thinking of ordering fish and chips. People were coming in to get takeout so I thought I would give it a try. The bartender came out a few minutes after she brought the beer and asked if I had been smoking.....she wasn't rude but the question seemed odd. I told her I wasn't smoking (I don't smoke) and I asked why she thought I was. She said ...Oh the kitchen said something....?????? It didn't make sense but I thought that was that. A few minutes later.....this Karen steps out on the patio and starts barking at me like a little rabid poodle....YOU CAN"T SMOKE HERE!!!!!! She had an apron on so maybe she was working in the kitchen. I told her I wasn't smoking and she frowned and turned to go back in. No apology for her nasty tirade. Thank God I hadn't ordered food...My first experience in the place...It was entertaining but I won't be back. Who wants to pay for that LOL!

My go to place and has been for 7 yrs now. Darlene's my favorite bartender and makes the best B52's ever. Sal, the owner is awesome and his food is out of this world. Great atmosphere and they have Karaoke on sat nights. Have also had quite a few celebration of life's held here. This place is a must go for food, drinks and musicFood: 5/5

Darlene provided excellent service at this restaurant! The food was exceptional and recommended by our server. This was honestly the best service I have experienced in a while. Darlene is a lovely person and excels at her job.

Draft beer was sour after a half glass and sal would not give me a fresh one after paying him 25 of my hard earned dollars not worth going back.
