We did go for yum cha but unfortunately due to low numbers this entire service was not available to us. What we did have was nice but it would have been great to experienced the full variety.
We revisited here for lunch. My partner would come here for lunch with a friend but stopped when they changed the lunch menu to yum cha! Why? Do I go to an Italian restaurant expecting to eat Chinese? So when we found the menu had changed back for a short time, we took some family for lunch. Good service and friendly. 'Many foods' on offer. If you go to the Philippines you'll realise that the restos offer quite an array of meals. At Coco Mango the meals are true to Filipino fare. Except the meals are large. We ordered 4 meals plus rice but were unable to finish 3. Go soon, in case the lunch changes back to yum cha. Blah!
We visit this restaurant about 2-3 times a year. It is located on Sutton Rd in Redcliffe. Parking near the restaurant is limited, but there are free parking spaces a block or two away. The atmosphere is nice and suitable for families and large groups. The Filipino cuisine menu has a wide variety of options, including Yum Cha for lunch. We tried dinuguan, pork sinigang, and adobo. My son had a large bowl of halo halo, which he enjoyed. The dishes were on the salty side, and the serving of rice was not sufficient compared to the generous portions of the dishes. We had to order extra rice throughout the meal. The service was slow, with a 20-minute wait to order and another 25-30 minutes for the food to arrive. However, overall we had a good experience and would return for the novelty of eating Filipino food. If you dine there, we recommend letting the chef know to go easy on the salt.
We've been to this restaurant twice and we always enjoy it. Our recent visit was February 14th, Valentine's Day dinner. We arrived there around 7:30pm without reservation as their phone cannot be reached (must be faulty, pls fix it). We approached the counter and waited for the staff to attend to us. The chinese staff greeted us with big smile and in friendly manner. She ushered us to our table and gave us cold glasses of water. We were served with lumpia shanghai first while waiting for our main course. We ordered SInigang na Isda, Cripy Pata and Special Fried Rice. As usual the serving was big, food taste great and the Crispy Pata was really crispy as expected. Staff were chatty and friendly when we paid for our bill. Overall experience was good. We will come back again.
