The staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the food is exactly what you want from a good pub meal. Nothing pretentious, just hearty, filling dishes that taste amazing. It’s a great spot for all ages and has a lovely, easygoing vibe. We’ve eaten both inside and outside. The outdoor area can be a little dark in the evenings with not the best lighting, but it doesn’t take anything away from the ambience or the quality of the food. If anything, it adds to the charm. This time I had the truffle burger with chips and it was absolutely divine. Packed full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Overall, Gio’s Pub is a must visit in Scalea. Friendly people, great food and a brilliant atmosphere every time. Five stars without a doubt.
