What Dave Garneau doesn't like about La Katrina Restaurant Bar:
Great selection of Mexican draft and bottled beer, but that's pretty much it. Food is underwhelming. Doesn't taste authentic. They play good music, but it's bootleg rock music. Like bootleg Metallica/cover or something. EDIT: I 100% dined at La Katrina out on the patio in front of the restaurant and the music was 100% playing from a speaker they had. This place was fantastic. We just stopped by in the afternoon for a drink or two and got a lot more. Kamil the new owner happened to be there and was very friendly. We had a great conversation, great service, learned a little about tequila, and as we left the first time he showed us the way to a great little beach where we spent the rest of our day trip. On our way home we stopped by again for a few more beverages. By that time the place was a bit busier but the service was still just as good. Lot of expats with pups. Our kids got to know and pet one very sweet dog named June. I would highly recommend stopping by when in Sayulita. We hope to go back before our trip is over and try the food. Best burgers in Sayulita. The Katrina Supreme topped with Shrimp and special Chipotle sauce, out of this world. Best selection of beers to pair with your burger and cocktails to start the night.
