This family-run restaurant offers fresh baked goods, friendly smiles, and excellent service in a clean environment. The owner's sister sends their award-winning Afghan rugs from Ohio, which are available for purchase in the shop (and they are truly beautiful!). You'll also find a selection of Amish canned goods and various homemade treats. The deli counter provides quick service with freshly baked sub rolls, including hoagies with a variety of meats and cheeses, along with delicious homemade soups. The service is always pleasant, and the establishment is tidy and well-kept. There’s seating both inside and outside, making it a lovely little gem in this otherwise quiet town.

I had a fantastic experience at Family Food Store! My parents learned about it from a local news story. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they offered an impressive selection of jams, jellies, pickled vegetables, and salsas. We also loved their candy selection and freshly made cinnamon rolls. I highly recommend visiting this charming place in Sawyer, KS!
