We stopped off here on out way home from a holiday in Italy and I have to say the Flammkuchen surpassed any pizza I had in Italy. The base was thin and crispy despite a heavy topping, something I longed for in Italy but failed to come across. The waiters were really efficient and helpful and the whole meal was not too expensive. The waiter recommended a chilled Pinot Noir from the area which was lovely. Only negative... View all feedback.

We visited this restaurant by chance and it was a mixed experience. The choice of food is a mix of classics like the (Tarte flambée) and a more modern cuisine. Both homemade, but after the explanations of the waiter, the expectations are not met by the unfortunately only average preparations. View all feedback.
This place does not deserve customers as it was closed tonight on Sunday evening and did not have the courtesy to tell potential customers , shameful
So we went for my birthday. We got a table in a romantic alcove we were supposed to be 4 so there was still a table for 2 in this alcove free). We started with a glass of cremant with nougatine, delicious! Kitchen is wonderful, everything we ate was delicious. Portions not very big though. For me it was enough, my husband had some appetite left. Having said that. This is a restaurant that serves tarte flambée like many do nowadays) which means you have families with children, tourists included. So needless to see that children equals noise lots of it) and we did not enjoy our delicious food in a well-deserved quiet ambiance. We will therefore not return here.
It would seem that it is quite difficult to get a bad meal in Saverne! The waiter was professional and fortunately understood our very limited French. My food allergies catered for with no difficulties. The Restaurant has a great menu and presents food well. It is llocated down a side street just off the square. The actual location is in a well designed cellar. Happy to recommend.
We were in five, and tried vegeterian and meat dishes, flammkuchen included. All dishes were fantastic, one of the best places we have been out many good ones in more than a week of holidays
Located in a small side street close to the city's main square. You would never get here if you didn't know the address and even if you were walking down the street, you would probably not pop in. Big mistake : . It is a great place with cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and very good food at affordable, mid-range prices. It is also children-friendly.
