Tortuga's Island Grille - Savannah

The place is simply decorated, with ample indoor seating, a modest bar offering a variety of drinks, and some shaded outdoor seating, where I decided to sit. The menu focuses mainly on breakfast and brunch items, but I was intrigued by a unique lunch option: the chicken with black beans and rice. It was a delightful surprise, as it was absolutely delicious. Being of Cuban descent, I found it a bit unusual to see black beans served over yellow rice, but it worked exceptionally well. I cleaned my plate because the food was so good. They also have a decent selection of craft beers, featuring some local options as well as some well-known brands, so there’s something for everyone. The service was friendly, and my needs were attended to promptly—no complaints at all. This is one of those rare finds where the exterior may not seem impressive, but like a good book, you have to step inside and experience it for yourself.

I dined at this restaurant last week and had a fantastic experience. On my first visit with a friend, I tried the Chicken Panini Club, and it was delicious! I couldn’t resist coming back the very next day with my husband and kids. This time, I opted for the shrimp taco special, and it was even more amazing than the Panini! My children, who are usually picky eaters, devoured their meals completely. The service was excellent as well! We will definitely be returning.

Incredible and imaginative dishes served by warm and attentive staff. Both the seafood and steak were cooked to perfection. This restaurant stands out among local high-end establishments, offering a quieter atmosphere.

Visited Tortuga’s for lunch today. Pleasant outdoor seating and good food. Easy to find is on River Drive in Thunderbolt. Victory Drive is located right in front of the Wilmington River (Jimmie Petrea) Bridge. Had the Jerked Chicken BLT. Very delicious. The woman had the Shrimp Panini she said was excellent. It also recommends Grouper BLT (if available). The beer was cold, interesting menu and good service. What else could you ask? I give them 5 stars.

Nice little place by the water. I like the outdoor seating if you look around in the flower beds you will see fresh herbs and peppers the best part is you can tell were they were harvested atleast the basil plant I was sitting by.
