The meal began with the chef’s tantalizing amuse bouche which we complemented with a glass of Les Bulles Locales sparkling wine. For appetizers, I selected the crab and king prawn spring roll, while my companion enjoyed the uniquely styled Cajun poulet with Caesar salad; both paired beautifully with a white Bordeaux from Château les Jamnets. Our main course was a scrumptious duck confit with an equally as scrumptious 2022 Bordeaux from Château Barouillet—a vintage we later learned was spectacular for the region. The finale was nothing short of triumphant: a tasty strawberry clafoutis and a remarkable tiramisu brownie with banana. The chef’s French interpretation of tiramisu was expertly balanced in flavor and texture truly yummy! We finished with a lovely Monbazar Vin de France, also from Château Barouillet. We are so grateful to our hosts for the impeccable service and the beautifully curated wine list in an elegant yet comfortable setting. We will certainly return on our next visit through the region. Reservations are highly recommended to secure your place in this wonderful establishment which has both patio and indoor seating.

For both vi... read more It is nearly 3 years since we last ate here yet we received a very warm welcome. In our time in Bergerac we had one evening and one lunchtime visit. For both visits the quality of the meals, the attention to detail, the service and value were exceptional. We sampled a wide range from the 2 menus and we both came away looking forward to the next time we return. I only wish that we could get this quality of food at these prices where we live in the UK. This is a gem of a restaurant in a great location, we can only encourage you to go and enjoy.

Good choice of local wine with friendly service and a lovely ambience. Can’t believe it has taken so long to eat here given we live close by. Will definitely be back soon.

They have made this village restaurant a destination spot and one that we always travel to when in our French home. Just superb
