But you had enough of the classic French food after a week, and you’re pinning for some heat, some spice, some food to amuse and awaken your taste buds. You look at this site and wow great reviews and lots of ‘em! So you walk in, table for two? No bother, take a seat. Drinks, a Mexican beer I’d never had before later to become a highlight), and browse the menu. Simple fare, nachos with salsa to share, and mains that include a staple, the burrito. These are ordered. Taste sensation awaits! Er NO! Indifferent, slightly greasy nachos with a very average salsa. Don’t worry main event will rescue the food! Well it did not. A pale, under seasoned burrito with no kick, and just poor execution most of which was left. Honestly if you make a semi decent chilli at home, avoid this place like the plague-you can, and will have done better than this timid, miserable impersonation of Mexican food. Highlights? The beer and the dressing on the lettuce!

It reminds me of someone trying to cook Mexican in their kitchen and forgetting to put in the spices, lime and coriander (the most important elements. We find French food very bland and boring so was hoping this would make a change from the boring French cuisine. They’re obviously catering to French palate and it is equally bland. Salsa made from tin tomato or out of a jar, guacamole is just mashed Avacado out of a tub with no flavour. If you’re used to UK restaurants, even our chain Mexican restaurants are 10x better than this. Avoid if you want to taste your food. If you’re French then it’s probably great!
