La Pierre Chaude - Saumur

Just after the bridge and a few minutes from the city centre, a nice restaurant with a top reception. The pierrade is good, we go out without being hungry and the products are good. Special mention for the boss, very nice.

Stopped for lunch. They only offer a set menu at lunch time (and salads). As a consequence it's great value. Three lovely courses for 13 euro including a glass of wine if you want one. A little bit off the tourist centre of Saumur, but well worth the walk over the bridge.

Cook on a hot stone or not. Either way the service and food was good.

Cosy restaurant with limited but superb menu

Really a great discovery! With my companion we took the hot stone Adult format, a little too much for us the child format would suffice. Nevertheless it was really good: good meat, good salad, good vegetables (especially mushrooms and good sauce. The waitress is also very nice and easy!
