What Nancy Harkins doesn't like about Clyde's Drive-in:
Disappointed ! Burger and fries lukewarm and mediocre quality. Onion rings so burnt and old, inedible.politely showed cook(owner) who was affronted, disinterested and no apologies. Said I’d have to wait outside at least 15 min if he made moreno offer to refund. Rude attitude. So opposite to quality, value and friendliness of Manistique Clyde’s!! Next time , West Pier for sure! The best burgers around and the orange malt and the deep fried pimple are a must, because it will come again and again! And the view of the passing ships and the playground for the children is always a plus!!! This place is great!
Malt with a look. A classic entrance by car hop service and usual Hamburger-centric menu. We come for malt/shakes and the acceptable frits, but above all because after serving you can and sit a hundred feet to an adjacent park and watch the Sugar Island ferry shuttle back and forth over the fast running river. With luck you can also see a huge freighter slide right in front of you.
I would drive 10 hours for a Big C!. I'd drive for a Clydes Burger for 10 hours. I love this place. Food is great, service is great to go only a great place. The mozzarella cheese sticks are brilliant and nothing beats eat the great food then wash it with a chocolate malt.
Big Burger Fries with a close look over the Freighters! Don't feed the Sea Gulls!
Home of the Big C . A generous-sized hamburger with EVERYTHING on it. My favorite is the sloppy Joe and onion rings. Eat at the counter or in your car while you watch the shipping traffic or ferry on the river. There is a park with playground next door and fishing for little children. Picnic tables at Clydes and at the park. Great sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and milk shakes. Opens end of March. Closes in October. Gets my highest rating for sandwiches!!!
