Jerk Yeah Man - Sauk Village

Man this place is way to good the sauce and chicken is straight fire so is the cabbage plantains and rice and peas I’ve been talking in a Jamaican accent since I ate the last plate I got from them and I’m equally as black as Adam Sandler this is better then what I got in Jamaica the whole trip this is a hood gem it was so good I’m damn near upset about it

So so so so sooooo good! Even though there was only one person there working by himself the food was still TOP TIER! I ordered my kids and I 3 j catfish dinners with mac, yams and cabbage( red beans and rice already included). We ate for 3 days! Chefs kiss

The j chicken was dry and the macaroni was nasty and the cabbage was hard

I was a faithful customer to the original owners of that space (Roots Bamboo J since their departure, I’ve gone to the new owners 3x, and had their j chicken twice (VERY DRY and didn’t taste fresh), J Catfish (UNDERCOOKED) and their prices are too high for terrible food! Now I’m traveling over 5 miles to get my j chicken… SMH!

Excellent high quality food for a great price. Portions are generous and the customer service is very accommodating. The j sauce is unmatched. I always tell myself I need to try this place more often. Every time I order it exceeds expectations.
