Contribute FeedbackNew World Home Cooking in Saugerties has received a mix of reviews from customers. While some have raved about the attentive service, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere, others have found the service subpar, the food average, and the ambience lacking. The restaurant seems to shine during special events like Thanksgiving, where the buffet receives high praise, but some have experienced issues with cold food and missing menu items. Overall, New World Home Cooking appears to have a loyal following who appreciate the fresh and tasty food offerings, as well as the accommodating staff. It may be worth a try for those looking for a cozy dining experience with a variety of comfort foods and Italian wines.
Innovative but comforting menu. We loved everything we had.
Our party of 4 ordered both off the menu and the buffet. The food was very good. Our waiter, Kieran, was exceptional. He was very attentive, but not in our face. He was so polite and friendly. I cannot remember when the last time was that we went out to eat where the service was so good. I specifically asked him his name before we left so I could give him a good review. (He looked a little nervous like he thought he did something wrong). The only negative thing that should be mentioned was the blaring speaker that was within a few feet of our table. We had a hard time talking to each other. They should invest in speakers in the ceiling. We would have asked for a different table but the restaurant was packed. Besides that, I would highly recomment New World Home Cooking.
Dined here for Thanksgiving and the following evening had a wedding function here. Both were superb with a fantastic staff, great food and drinks. Thanks to Ric and Liz as well as their wonderful staff!!!
Fantastic as always! Chef Ric Orlando is a culinary treasure!
Great buffet for Thanksgiving with endless options, it seemed. I felt a lot of the food was spicy, which may not be to everyone's liking. they should hold back on that.
