I had them cater a birthday party at my house. They came on time with the food truck. The food was amazing and they set it all out nicely for service. They left the leftover trays for ease of continued eating. The ribs were sooo good they were demolished as was the corn on the cob. Great sauces were also left. I couldn’t be happier with the food or the team!!! View all feedback.
What Peter B doesn't like about Legal Swine Bbq:
The brisket looked great, it was so salty I had to stop at the Urgent Care down the block, my pressure shot up. The coleslaw was inedible. The pulled pork was boring. I so wanted to like this place. View all feedback.
The burnt ends are fantastic, the pulled pork sandwich is excellent, and the pork belly nuggets always satisfy.
The brisket looked fantastic, but it was so salty that I ended up having to stop at Urgent Care down the street because my blood pressure skyrocketed. The coleslaw was inedible, and the pulled pork was quite dull. I really wanted to enjoy this place.
As someone who's new to the area, I've been on the lookout for good dining options, and I'm glad I decided to try Legal Swine. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I ordered brisket, mac and cheese, and coleslaw, and everything was excellent! The coleslaw was incredibly fresh and not overly coated in mayo like you find at many other places. The brisket was smoky and tender, and the portion size was generous—I have plenty of leftovers. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and the restaurant had a nice, clean atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!
The hot links are surprisingly one of the standout items on the menu. They’re flavorful, spicy without being overwhelming, and come in generous portions. The brisket is decent, but I would suggest going for the burnt ends instead; they’re a solid take on this Kansas City classic. The pulled pork is alright, but it’s not the best I’ve had. The wings are fantastic if you enjoy smoked wings, and my family also loves the half chicken. As for sides, the bourbon corn (off the cob in a spicy cream sauce), mac and cheese, and hush puppies are the best choices. The cornbread isn’t great, so opt for the hush puppies instead, especially since you get a huge portion. I found the Brussels sprouts unappealing the one time I ordered them. The coleslaw was just okay the first time, but good (though a bit spicy) on subsequent visits. The BBQ sauce is quite good, with the spicy version being the better choice (it's not overly hot). This restaurant is in my regular rotation when I'm in the area for good reason. It has a quirky location and plenty of character, but it's definitely worth a visit.
Absolutely a rip-off! I ordered a few items to give this place a try, but they sent me the wrong food. Plus, the prices are outrageous!
