The Best Steak I Have Had in Along Time !!! Great Chef and Great Bar Service !!!!

In the 50+ years that I've been dining out have I never had a more disappointing experience. It took 1-1/2 hours to get served. Yes. That. Long. We decided to leave, left $20 on the table. The restaurant positions itself as a fine dining establishment despite the drab atmosphere an the absence of any music. The so-called fine dining restaurant had a waiter wearing shorts. Yes. Really. Shorts. Too many other places are far superior. Don't go to Hot Rocks and save both money and time.

Called ahead as it was a sat night they said they recommended reservations. Got there and the place was empty. The good stuff was positively wonderful. Excellent food overall. They gave lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet, albeit before appetizers not before the main course as standard, but it was amazing!!! And a pleasant surprise. Not something most restaurants do. At the end of the meal my children were thrilled at the cotton candy with the bill verses a couple of mints. Just topped it all off. And again another great surprise. Chicken parm was huge. You 'll get several meals out if it. We all laughed in amazement. Generous portions. The macaroons and canoli are must haves. The could be better only two salad dressing choices, blue cheese and balsamic. Thought that was strange. Really no drink menu. Most of the wine was by the bottle. Only house wine by the glass. Thought it was weird that they were so empty on a sat night, but it really was very good. Definitely recommend highly.

Prime Filet Recommended. Appetizers were good. Buffalo Calmari and Buffalo wings... Tried both and were good. Service was good. Live music when I went on a Friday evening. Spinach and potatoes were excellent also.

Unexpectedly exceptional! Wasn’t too sure because of a recent review or two, so we started with the calimari app and we’re pleased enough to continue to entrees. His shrimp and scallops were perfect. I had a special- the caprese salad with chicken. Large portions and fresh ingredients. The bartender was gracious and the atmosphere open and inviting. We will definitely be back!
