We had a wonderful time on a private tour with Lauren visiting the animals, hearing their stories and being followed by the Underfoots. It is a beautiful healing place and the animals are well cared for, friendly and calming. A haven for us to get away from the stress of our world View all feedback.
Since the first visit of catskill animal sanctuarys 2011 we were arrested. it is very sacred for its visitors, as it lives for our pet friends there. it is peaceful and beautiful. their mission is a great and easy to support. the greener kathy stevens is my hero and a angel to be around, so positiw and full of energy. we have been volunteering for years before we moved too far to make the coming. we are visiting any chance we can get. my man and I got married in 2016, we are members and more supportive. a great mission to come back. they are really in him for the animals and do a great task to spread the vegan word. their events are also super ingenious from the compassionate cooking classes, camp friendliness, shiny dig in summer, kies and groove, and their NYC-based cocktail parties for cow tales.
So many animals—pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, donkeys, horses, cows...very friendly tour, followed by delicious house-made vegan food.
Wonderful staff, very friendly even though we arrived for our tour around the sanctuary late! Most of the animals are very friendly and many roam free around the area. You are able to connect with the animals on the tour which is very informative.
I went to Catskill Animal Sanctuary last weekend and fell in love with many of the animals (especially Michael, the hugable turkey). The guides are very knowledgeable and compassionate.
Ever since visiting the Catskill Animal Sanctuary for the first time in 2011, we were hooked. It’s very much a sanctuary for its visitors as it is for our animal friends living there. It’s peaceful and beautiful. Their mission is a great one and easy to want to support. Founder Kathy Stevens is my hero and an angel to be around- so positive and full of energy. We became volunteers and volunteered for years before we moved too far to make the commute. We now visit any chance we can get. My husband and I got married there in 2016, we are members and supporters. Such a great mission to get behind. They are truly in it for the animals and do a great job spreading the vegan word. Their events are super awesome too from the compassionate cuisine classes, camp kindness, shin dig in the summer, gobble and groove, and their NYC based cocktail party Cocktails for Cow Tales.
