Bowdies Chophouse - Saugatuck

Excellent food but women we were with were disappointed by filthy bathrooms

We went here for dinner service on a Thursday evening at 730pm. We made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. I ordered the Manhattan with Angels Envy. Very good and it was a slow sipper. The bone marrow is delicious! We ordered a tomahawk steak that was cooked to perfection and carved table side. It was just the two of us and we ordered a side of Brussel sprouts. Side note if it's just a party of two, you can order half ordered of the al carte sides. Inside is very loud, so if you want to sit inside just make sure you know that it is small, loud, and busy! But it didn't bother me to much. If your looking for more of a quite environment, opt for the outdoor seating or the patio seating.

Our meal was excellent as always! We had the elote corn for the first time and it was the best I've ever had. Katie our server was adorable and very attentive. You also can't go wrong with the quaint restaurant atmosphere in the best part of Saugatuck!

We used to really love Bowdies. We've been coming to Saugatuck every summer for over 10 years and would eat here at least twice while in town. We were there in November and it was absolutely the most disappointing dining experience I had ever had at an establishment this high end. They forgot our orders, it took forever, things were cooked wrong.. This was after our normal summer visits that were also very much a let down, but not to this extreme. We went last night, and it was, again, just okay and rather disappointing. I don't know if it's new management or what, but between 2022 and now, something has changed and not for the better.

Our server was lovely. We were seated in the bar as a 6 top and it was so loud we couldn't hear. The salmon was small with literally no flavor...bee disappointing. The mushrooms I would not order again..no garlic no flavor -nothing to write home about. The crab cake and truffle fries were the best part of the evening. We used to love Bowdie's but this time was a real let down.
