Another one of those 'if you don 't know how to find it, you 're missing out on some great chow ' joints. If you like slap-yo-grandmomma good fried chicken, this is it. Sorry Grammy, your cast iron skillet yard bird was the best... until now. : View all feedback.
What Jade Kris doesn't like about Chicken Shack A1a:
I tried the chicken at this restaurant and it reminded me of the Colonel's. It is freshly prepared and worth the wait. While the prices for chicken are on the higher side compared to other places in the USA, the portions are generous. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly fried. View all feedback.
We always order the whole boasted chicken. They serve the best fried bird in our opinion. Sides are great also. We are repeat offender of their establishment.
Over cooked chicken makes it hard and chewy. I get food safety but my goodness..slaw was on the vinegar side so not my taste. Sauces and baked beans good, tangy+sweet balance. However I got the Completely wrong order upon delivery.... Not interested is purchasing again. Publix has better quality for less.
Wowie-wow. My first time at the Chicken Shack and boy am I sorry it took me so long to get there. I ordered ½ chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. They call their cooking method broasted chicken and while I'm not really sure what that is, it has a crispy, well-seasoned skin. It was juicy and tender and all-around excellent. If you have a craving for fried chicken, skip it and head on over to Chicken Shack. Friendly staff and prompt service.P S my chicken photo is minus a wing, which I couldn't resist.
