Cafe Backerei Peters - Sassnitz

This place visited twice, large selection of tasty coffee, very nice choice of the German Danish especially the wreathcakes . friendly staff

We stopped a day for breakfast. Beautiful new facility next to the bakery. Sit for the breakfast menu or have many bakery products to go. Great view of the Baltic Sea.

This is a great cafe in the harbour area of Sassnitz. It's modern and bright with a good seating area outside. After a long walk, we rested in this cafe had apple strudel served with ice cream, whipped cream and custard. Because we were sitting in the cafe, our orders were taken by a waitress, who returned promptly with coffee and two large servings of apple strudel, which was truly delicious. This is a good cafe at any time of the day. They have a good variety of filled rolls (though the choice is better earlier in the day), a large range of typical German baked items (from bread to cakes), and gateaux. You can find quite a few branches of this cafe in Sassnitz and Binz and a few other towns on Rugen Island. We also visited one some distance out of Sassnitz town that has good views over the port. Overall, it's a reliable place to eat and I'll be happy to return.

The bakers is situated in what was once Sassnitz Haven station which is where the ferries from Sweden used to arrive. A great conversion has provided a lovely place to eat with both inside and outdoor seating. We had the asparagus soup and followed it with a most delicious strawberry tart. There was a great selection of filled rolls and pastries and a fantastic selection of cakes. A lovely place for a snack.

Eigentlich wirklich nett, das Café aber irgendwie arbeiten die auf unangenehme Art und Weise Umsatzoptimiert.2 Spiegeleier ohne irgendwas dazu - 5,20.Das Erdbeer-Dessert war mit frischer Minze ausgeschrieben, dann aus 2 Mini-Blättchen als Deko bestand.Beim "italienischen Frühstück" besteht der Mozzarella nicht etwa aus Mozzarella-Kugeln (wie es sich gehört) sondern aus billigstem Stangen-Mozzarella, der sonst für Pizzen genutzt wird. Die Tomaten sind dick geschnittene Fleisch-Tomaten. Nix italienisches Frühstück. Bei den Preisen (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind in der Summe 50 EUR fürs Frühstück) erwarte ich mehr aber die Nachfrage hier besteht wohl kein wirklicher Handlungsbedarf.
