We've been three times now, which is our usual make or break visit. We have enjoyed our visit each time, the service is spot on, the beer cold and the food is good. It's small with funky decor and one of our go to places for a late lunch and a pint. We'll be back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Leopold's Tavern:
I have been to this joke of a pub a few times. The service is on another level of terrible. Terrible is not even the proper adjective. I can't even think of the right one. Maybe.... insufferable. And rude too. 15 minutes without even an acknowledgement. No apology.I'd stay away and will be recommending to everyone I know to do the same.Cheers. View all feedback.

Leaving a review for their new place in Rosewood since I can't review it in the appropriate place yet.I really wanted to like this place, and to be honest I will probably give it another chance one day. My experience their was "so-so", food was subpar and the atmosphere was just "okay". Definitely had higher expectations because I enjoyed my first experience at their off-broadway location, despite how small it was. I know everyone is aware of how small it is. In fact it's part of their charm in a way, but this new place is also small... and not cute small. Because they are in one of those "box mall" stores, you literally feel like you're in a closet. They bought a small space thinking they could make it work again and it's just plain crowded. No privacy, unless you're seated in that weird, tiny loft. They need more couples seating too so that you and your date don't look like tools sitting in the middle of a six person table. Food took forever! I get it. You're busy, and you're location is new but don't you think this is the time to really impress people? The "we're new pity card" doesn't fly this time. Servers were all over the place, stressed, and making excuses for food being late. When I got my food, the chicken on my chicken burger only took up half the bun. The shoestring fries were small, limp, and cold. They brought my food out first, ahead of my date's and it wasn't hot, just warm. I wonder how long it sat under the warming lamp before someone actually brought it out? Gravy was good though! Too bad I had little to no fries to dip into the gravy. If you want to give this place a shot, my recommendations are to come very early or late (miss the busy times) and grab a drink and maybe an appe only. Give it a chance I suppose, but be careful... don't come in with high expectations or you'll be disappointed.
One of my daughter's favourite restaurants. It is a small place so you may end up waiting for a table. We timed it right as we were able to get a table but by the time we left it was packed. Our lunch consisted of sandwiches (Smoked meat for myself, Hamburger for my husband) and "Bucket O' Bacon". The sandwiches comes with a choice of a side. We both went with fries. As much as I like fries, it would have been nice to get smaller portion of two sides. The food in general was pretty good. My husband raves about the beer but does say it's a little pricey. It wouldn't be my top choice to return but I wouldn't be unhappy if I did.
Ive had good times here when i was with a group. Its nice to have a place open late thats pretty consistent with food and service. But ive been unimpressed when i come by myself. I work downtown and tend to work late, i have a limp, leopolds is halfway between my work and my house. So when i when i walk in before last call and am refused service because i "stumbled through the door" im pretty well decided to never go back.
