I have been to Izumi a few times now and their rolls are like edible artwork. They take a little longer to get to your table, but when they do, they are a feast for the eyes as well as the belly. They seemed a little under staffed, which lead to longer than normal wait times for our food, but the wait was well worth it as the food was well made. I have only tried their sushi and sashimi there and can not comment on t... View all feedback.
What Andy M doesn't like about Izumi:
I had been living on the West Coast of Canada for the last 15 years and the sushi here is just as good as the stuff on the coast. Good service. Quiet comfortable atmosphere. Now that I'm a Toon Towner this is my second choice next to Sushiro off Broadway. Good choice for a middle of the road price point sushi restaurant. This is a good solid 3.5 stars not quite a fan, but better than okay. We stopped by for some sushi one evening, and we left pretty satisfied. For starters, it is a Korean establishment, so there are a lot of korean menu items in addition to the usual Japanese fare. We ordered pretty basic items a tempura vegetable starter, a bento box, and one of their special rolls. The tempura was awesome they season their batter with some sort of steak spice so it's super super tasty, and very fresh and crunchy. The bento box was also not bad pretty standard. The roll was average flavours were there, but overall not fresh tasting and didn't quite have that exciting pop you get with real good sushi. Service was good. Would come back, but not before I've seen what else this city has to offer.

Quieter neighbourhood sushi/Japanese restaurant. Fast service, great price, and the menu has wide range of options. We went for lunch on a saturday and all got bento boxes choice of 4 different items (sushi, protein with suey, salad, and goyza/spring roll). We left full and satisfied. Saskatoon has lots of sushi options and Izumi will be one of our top picks from now on.
Service was good. Sushi was excellent. The sask roll was alittle sweet Can't wait to try more dishes. The Korean food looked good but we didn't get to try them.
