Food is AMAZING and was worth the 45 mins wait. We just went to junior nearby for coffee while waiting for a table.I got the scrambler bowl which was like a skillet. Super delicious. My husband was also very happy with his chicken and waffles and our friend said her omelette was the fluffiest one she's ever had. So overall we all loved our food. The place is also adorable with some fun art and lots of plants. View all feedback.
What Jay Raii doesn't like about Hometown Diner:
We dropped in for breakfast on a Monday morning. The server was terrible we asked for a kids menu and they didn’t have one which is really odd. She also couldn’t tell us or recommend anything from the menu which was child friendly. The food was excellent but the service terrible, waitress was friendly when we pulled out our wallet to pay that was the only time she striked up a conversation. I would give this place a... Very cute restaurant with lovely friendly staff! We waited quite a long time for our food which is fine but when we did get our food both our eggs were super over cooked and rock hard (we ordered medium poach) which was disappointing. My husband got the traditional breakfast and it was very plain and quite small for $20. I got the avocado toast and it was very yummy but would have been even better if my egg had actually been runny on the inside. The sides are all really delicious, but you only get half of a small waffle when you order that which seems strange. Overall a good experience but just a few minor things could have made it perfect.
My girlfriend and I had such a good experience at this place. The service was quick and friendly. Our server Molly took great care of us and even gave us some free donuts since our food was taking a little bit long. Food was 10/10 and we left happy!
Didn’t get a single photo (of the food) because I was busy SHOVELLING the UNreal chicken waffles in my mouth! Such a bright and vibrant breakfast/brunch spot, with amazing selfie spots!!
This was my first visit. I met a friend for brunch at 10am on a Thursday. There were other customers but it wasn't busy, tho it was picking up when we left. Service was fast and super friendly. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the open, spacious ambience. I would definitely go again.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant area appears to be fully accessible but I did not use the washroom. As a bonus, it is not crowded with tables, so it would be relatively easy to manoeuvre around.
Great service, decor, and food. Huevos rancheros, salmon bagel, and good old traditional breakfast are some of my favourites. Oh, and the donuts are amazing.
