Was jwg55 at Diners a mag?
Friends took us here for brunch. The wait was 1.5 hours on a Saturday. I guess we came at peak time mid morning. Once in the choices we're plentiful and intriguing. Certainly enough to want to come again. The group had waffles, Mediterranean bowl, eggs and huevos rancheros. It took a while to come as well. And the huevos were barely lukewarm. Overall good food but I would come at a less bust time if I was going to tr... View all feedback.
What MBWinterBlues dislikes about Diners:
Our food was excellent; I enjoyed the gluten-free eggs Benedict and avocado toast. While breakfast spots can be a bit on the pricey side, we felt that the meals were fairly valued, so I would rate that aspect a solid 5 stars. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. When it was time to settle the bill, the server handed us the debit machine while sitting at the table next to us, without even attempting to... View all feedback.

Went out for brunch with a group of 5. We put ourselves on the waitlist and got in an hour later. I had the caramel latte with oat milk and it was creamy and delicious. I ordered the Berry Waffle with a side of bacon and it was delectable! So many wonderful sweet and savory flavors in one dish! The almonds, rich berries, and cripy waffle elevated a breakfast classic! Staff were welcoming and helpful. Will be going again!
Very Trendy, food and service were great. Had the traditional breakfast of bacon and eggs with sourdough toast. Toast was a little underdone but breakfast was tasty. must use free land eggs because of the dark yoke. Coffee was great and the wife like the mugs so much she bought a couple.
Great atmosphere, and delicious food with fresh ingredients (I didn't love their homemade donuts which they are famous for though), and highly recommend.
My wife and I were spending a couple nights in Saskatoon. I decided to take my wife out for a nice breakfast before we left for home. I picked the Hometown Diner due to its excellent reviews. Well we weren't disappointed. When we came inside we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The restaurant was bright, clean and nicely decorated. Hanging plants were suspended in a row in the centre. Glasses of water came to the table and we were told who our server was. A couple minutes later we were greeted by our server. We both ordered the scrambler. Delicious! Poached eggs on hash browns, sausage, tomatoes and covered with a delicious hollandaise sauce. Very flavourful and a great presentation. I would highly recommend the Hometown Diner for a wonderful culinary experience.
We have frequented this diner numerous times and have noticed the portions are substantially smaller. Prices have remained the same but only receiving half the amount of hash browns and eggs Benedict are much smaller. The scrambler for $17 used to be a bowlful and now is half the size. Same great taste but the value is just disappointing!
