Beautiful restaurant inside Hyatt Regency. Offers vegan Plov (says vegetarian on the menu but multiple staff confirmed it is vegan) and vegetable kebab/sashlik. Prices are 50,000 70,000 som for most dishes. Recommend a visit for some genuinely vegan plov which is hard to find. Traveling around Uzbekistan you realize that asking for vegetarian Plov usually means they pick out the meat and serve you the regular plov cooked with meat and in animal fat gross!
Negative: The only vegan option available is plov, which is quite bland in taste. Additionally, the restaurant is considered pricey compared to Uzbek standards.
Tashkent is such a clean and cool city and the Hyatt and this restaurant are just that with an added element of luxury. The food is really nice, both the plov and the kebab.
Just like other reviews, I ordered the vegan plov and it was decent, but not particularly impressive. I mainly chose to dine here because it was a rare spot to find a vegan option.
I ordered the vegetable plov and lobio at this restaurant and made sure to confirm with the waitress that they were vegan. After ordering, I received complimentary egg washed bread and yogurt, which I had to send back because they were not vegan. The staff replaced them with vegan bread. Although the plov appeared clean, I discovered a piece of meat in my beans. I returned it and they made me a fresh dish, which took some time. Unfortunately, they forgot to replace the rest of the food on the plate they had taken away, resulting in additional waiting time. The manager apologized and offered me a drink and a bowl of fruit. They also removed most of the items from my bill, which was a nice gesture.
