So, they would have got a higher rating from me because the food was good, service was decent...however, when you go to pay and only have US$ at a 30% exchange and they will only take it at par...that is not okay! Pretty sure when they deposit US funds into their bank, the bank isn't depositing at par, so why should I pay you $13 extra dollars for my meal? Therefore I can draw no other conclusion than the food is exc... View all feedback.
I went here for breakfast, the food was pretty good and it was very cheap. Definitely would recommend.
Amazing, we have had the same server each time we have gone after our runs on Sunday mornings and she knows exactly what we want. As for allergens, the chef is incredible and accommodates and does it well. Try it, you wont be disappointted
Meh! The tater tot nachos were interesting. The waitress was nice, but the bus girls were just standing around with dirty tables and a long line to get in. Management needs to improve.
Have had breakfast several times here and have always enjoyed the food and service. Our go to place for breakfast when family comes to visit.
I was here about 8 months ago and got two long strands of black hair in my Reubin. The waitress said it must've been due to whomever brings them their meats! I swore silently that I'd not return to this "hairy"-food place. Up until then I'd been regularly pleased with the service and the meals. Getting hairy food was enough to keep me away as there are plenty of places to dine at. I did, obviously, return to Village Gardens here in late May 2016. I refused to go to the Restaurant (South) side though the cooking is done there. I simply ordered jalapeno pepper poppers and Canadian 67 beers (2). My good friend had a grilled chicken wrap, a "taquilla", Haha, shooter (my bad, as it was to be a "Margueritta",lol.)The Bill came to $40, including an 18% tip. The oval bowl that contained the jalapeno pepper poppers, which tasted great with the '67, was chipped in a couple of places around the brim. This place has turned into a "care-less" place that just has people caring less and less. Our waitress served us kindly, attentively, and I expressed that with words and the tip. (There were people smoking on the NON-Smoking Patio so it was a no-brainer to sit indoors and miss the beautiful outdoor sunshine. We had walked from near the north end of Sarnia so we did not choose to go elsewhere as I wanted to give the Bar Side a first-time try.)
