What SuzSuz25 doesn't like about The Springwater Inn:
Hostess sat us at a small table for two in a corner of the restaurant behind the booths, saying that the better and more central seats were for locals who expect them when they come in. I guess visitors to Saratoga get stuck into a corner. We both ordered the fish tacos and they had way too much cayenne pepper in the rub not good. We heard the people in the booth behind us sending them back and wished that we had don... View all feedback.
Went out with a friend to try the this restaurant for Restaurant Week. The menu offered a great seafood options but I can no longer can do shellfish but I am Sure it is delicious. So we both went other the Pork rib mango habanero sauce appetizer ! It was delicious I hope They put this on their menu. We got the slow Braised pork that was delicious. Then desert was Banana cream pie . Best I ever had. Also we ordered the Orange Chocolate pot de cream. Delicious also! We also ordered drinks! Pumpkin Bourbon was delicious and a ipa beer from Vermont was good also! I recommend going to dinner here! Nice seating by a window and away from people so we could talk.

If your in the area and looking for a cozy place look no further. Make sure you reservation.
Although the track season has ended, Saratoga Springs remains as a dining destination. Service at Brook Tavern was very good, and the prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in Saratoga, but you have to be willing to put up with a high noise level. Unfortunately, I found it impossible to carry on a conversation because of the noise. The menu was varied and there is something for everyone. The triple burrata appetizer was a little on the sweet side for me. I would opt for something else were I to go back. I will say that the swordfish was excellent, and a substantial portion. According to my dinner companion, the filet. was tasty and tender. I will say I thought the wine list by the glass was limited. And parking is tough on a busy night.
We went for dinner for one of our friend's birthday. We ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert along with many cocktails and 2 bottles of wine. We were feeling rushed by the server and while we were having desert and still a full bottle of wine, the owner came to our table to tell us that we had to leave as they had a 13 person group waiting around. This happened a minute after we paid for the bill. We were shocked. She was going to take the bottle with her even if we already paid for it. She suggested we drank it at the bar standing up. I will never go back there again. This was the worst experience I've ever had and i will make sure to let everyone know about what this restaurant/owner is all about. Just disgusted.
After the races, I went straight to the Brook Tavern for cocktails and snacks. Try the raspberry vodka lemonade Molly the bartender makes awesome drinks!
