Had an enjoyable, relaxing dinner with a group of friends. Appetizer platter was large and great for snacks, fried eggplant was savory and saucy and the white pizza was delicious but needed a little more truffle pizzazz. What ThomasM doesn't like about Forno Bistro:
The service was excellent however the food left something to be desired. The Striped bass special was over cooked burned at the bottom. Rice ball appetizers were too dry . Pricrs too high for results . Stay with the pizza. View all feedback.
The server should mention the prices when discussing the daily specials.
Dining here is usually a fantastic experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. The dish I ordered was cold and lacked flavor. The restaurant was so crowded that it may have contributed to the decline in quality.
The food was excellent, but I have one complaint. We ordered two Grey Goose Cosmos with Cointreau, but they used Grand Marnier instead of Cointreau. We were charged $19.50 for each cocktail, which feels excessive for a small drink, especially in Saratoga Springs, NY. Be cautious about the bar mark-ups!
Eating was good, but the service was slow. we were there for 2 hours and 10 minutes (table of 4). some small problems, the roasted potato were not roasted, more like cooked. the steak special was tasty, but the steak (mean rare) was hard. the love for detail seems to look a little bit off.
Great spot for a date, just to hangout after a long day of both of us working
