What User doesn't like about Tokaj:
Our first and last visit. The wine was excellent. However, the salad was very good and the remainder of the food was overly spiced and barely edible The desert crepe was swimming in chocolate sauce and fortunately a small part did not get dunked in the sauce. The wine cost 38.00 and the food 70.00 Better prepared food for the same price can be enjoyed at other restaurants. View all feedback.

Food was outstanding. However, wine list could do with improvement.
Everything was delicious. Feels like family owned and authentic Hungarian cuisine. I had the Veal Chop and my wife had the tenderloin. Both were quite flavorful and delicious. We especially liked the duck/veggie spread with warm bread and the complimentary soup with duck liver dumpling.
The quaint restaurant was lovely and the live violin music was really lovely in the background with contemporary sounds. The service was exceptional with a smile. And then the food! The food stole the show from the lovely soup like my mother used to make. A lovely salad that we shared was great. Then we started with the pheasant wrapped in crepe with a wine sauce that was out of this world delish! The veal paprikash was better than I've had since last visiting Hungary years ago. The duck was cooked to absolute perfection. I truly cannot wait to go back again! And again!
Excellent cuisine delivered by a seriously skilful CHEF. Charming and efficient front of house team
