Thailand Restaurant - Sarasota

Loves lunch specialties. Soup and the crispy role are a highlight. The curry and pad Thai were the highlights for us this time. Papaya Salat was beautiful, but could be used some chilis for my taste.

Who knew there was a gate to Thailand, not too far from I-75? In an inconvenient strip-mall you will find this delicious destination fucked away and after eating there you will wonder why there are not thousands of people to get inside. The interior is detailed in Thai wood art and architecture, with cosy stands and very intimate lighting that need a little time to get used to. Menus are available inside the door (if you want to study the dishes later). I ordered the Thai Duck Curry with coconut boba/bubble tea and wow... what a worthy investment. I made easily two meals from the portions, and loved the taste more with every bite. They give you the possibility of 4 different spice levels, so you are not afraid to come, your face does not have to melt if you do not want it. The service was fantastic, super nice and love when you are satisfied with the meal. They offered more jasmine rice than I knew what to do, which really feels interested and guarantees my return in the near future as if the food was not good enough.

This evening we met friends at one establishment to celebrate both our sons graduation from high school. We had a bad experience trying to be seated, so we left and called Thailand, a nice young woman answered the phone. She kindly said she would take our party of 5. She explained that she was the only one working and would move as quickly as she could. She was AWESOME! Very friendly, while obviously working very hard, efficiently doing multiple jobs at once. The chef came out and helped her a few times with the delivery of food. Everything we had was perfectly prepared and delicious. Vegetable fried rice, shrimp fried rice, veggie summer rolls, shrimp summer rolls, tofu pad puck, tom yum seafood soup, a veggie pancake, and a couple other items. We all appreciated the freshness and abundance of the vegetables. We are grateful to have had such a wonderful meal with excellent and kind service. We will remember graduation dinner fondly! Thank you! We didn’t catch her name but she knows who she is, working on a Sunday!

Excellent Food! The Pad Woonsen was as good as I hoped. The satay, fresh spring rolls, bubble tea and desserts were all delicious, I look forward to trying the Pho next. The service was ridiculously slow though, so I’d recommend getting take out.

I will not say much, only that; apart from the experience I had in the real country of Thailand, this was the most authentic Thai experience I had. The restaurant is beautiful! And the food delicious. Best Tom yum soup this page of the world!
