What Larry Schapker doesn't like about Sunnyside Cafe:
The food was okay, but we were a bit let down by the fish and chips. The fries were delicious, but the fish was small and overly fried. Unfortunately, we were unable to try the goulash as it wasn't available when we left at 11:30. View all feedback.
This restaurant serves one of the best eggs Benedict in the city, with delicious potatoes to accompany it. I just wish they offered unlimited Bloody Marys!
My husband, who is usually hard to impress, described it in one word: remarkable. The restaurant is located in a nondescript old motel lobby, giving it a shabby exterior that is easily overlooked. However, the interior is cozy and inviting, with a touch of elegant simplicity. The food, on the other hand, is exceptional. The dishes are bursting with fresh flavors and made with high-quality ingredients. The eggs benedict, in particular, are expertly crafted and unlike any other I have tasted. My husband enjoyed his dish so much that he ordered another to share with our son. The prices were reasonable, and the service was attentive and flawless. We will definitely make this restaurant a regular stop on our trips to Sarasota from now on.
Ate here 3 times on my 5 night visit. Breakfast (Hungarian Porkchops) was out of this world good, had the Goulash for lunch, outstanding, and the scallops with wild mushroom risotto and bone marrow for dinner- phenomenal!! Go here early and often!

From the road driving by you would never think this place is such a gem. The inside is very modern, the food is excellent, very professional service and wine selections are very impressive!
