Rico's Pizzeria - Sarasota

When I went to Rico, I felt back in NY! I went to Florida to find legit New York City Pizza places and this is definitely one of the few. This local family business is certainly special. Came for singles in slices and went to try with the craving for a bunch of things now on the menu!

Dry, very delicious pizza. This is the Margarita pizza with extra basil. Customer service was amazing and the entertainment from television was a beautiful bonus. I definitely recommend this place!

Simply fabulous pizza and garlic knots! Try a glass of Luccio Chianti fantastic customer service! Beautiful ambience and staff very attentive to our family! Thank you for a delicious dinner! We're coming back!

I always get my pizza from Rico because it's just like Jersey Shore's pizza, but never thought of trying their Philly Sub. I tried almost everywhere else and nobody compared to a real Philly cheese steak in taste like in Philly until I recently tried Ricos. Since my first weeks, this has been the third time we get them. Rico's on Gateway Ave. In Sarasota Well, we (parents and myself) were impressed with the staff, who were engaging and informative. I explained to our server that this was our first. For appetizers we ordered mushrooms, then added wings. Both were great. We ordered Chichen Marsala, Spaghetti with meatballs and a meaty lasagna. All were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The side salads were crisp, cold and well presented. The garlic bread was crisp and hearthy, obviously as fresh as the salads. The service was always quick and responsive. The mini cheescake sample was a huge win also. We will be returning as I put in an order for their TShirts. My only complaint was no fresh made sweet tea,
