Owen's Fish Camp in Sarasota is a charming tribute to old Florida life and dining, nestled right on the beach and rich with history. Named after Owen Burns, the original developer of Sarasota, the restaurant even boasts a Banyan tree gifted by Thomas Edison himself. The kitchen staff works tirelessly to bring in fresh, local Bay fish daily from neighborhood fishermen, ensuring the highest quality for guests. When dining at Owen's, guests can savor their fish in various ways, such as in a Florida grouper sandwich, fried in a basket with fries and coleslaw, or in a delightful low country boil featuring crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, and andouille sausage.

Great food and a fun place to eat. We have dined at Owens many times over the years and keep returning. We would have given the restaurant 5 stars except for the long wait to be seated each time we went. The dining area is small and the restaurant is very popular. Well worth the wait time. One of our favorite restaurants in downtown historic Burns Court. A must-visit spot.

Fun, casual dining in downtown Sarasota. The only thing missing is a water/beach view. Staff is friendly and food quality is average.

Even though they do not accept reservations, the wait is definitely worth it. The food and service have consistently been excellent every time.
